It is no surprise to anyone who knows me, that this summers must do hair do for me was and is a high knot bun. Not only is the high knot bun sleek and modern, it is also very easy, low maintenance and fabulous for the summer and into the fall.

For me style and trends are about wearability, and unlike the fish braid the bun is something everyone can do on their own. Even with a head of curls, the sleek knot bun is easy to create. All I do is slick my hair back into a poinytale post shower and twist the pony as tight as I can. After the twist, I then wrap the pony in a coil on the top of my head.  QUICK.EASY & FABULOUS. We know that everyone is bunning it these days, but do we know why?  The bun hit the scene this year when Valentino Couture models stomped down the run way with high-headed buns on top of every head. Celebrities then took note on the silhouette elongating look, everyone from Victoria Beckham to Emma Stone begin sporting the bun and the trend sat fire. . . Buns are popping up on red carpets everywhere, and it is no wonder. The high sitting knotted bun flatters the neck adds height to the female figure.

For fall the bun is essential because it allows the neck to look long to help showcase the seasonal scarf, collared button down, oversized necklaces and fur vest. The high knot bun helps the female bundle up with out looking frumpy and short. I SAY GO ON GIRL, GET YOUR BUN ON.

Despite popular belief from unfashionable folks. Your shoes do make your look. No matter what you wear, a busted crusted tennis shoe or heel will WITH OUT A DOUBT ruin a perfectly good ensemble. 

Surveys have shown that women, when asked what they look at while making a first impression. SHOES along with personality, smile and style will top the list. Why are women obsessed with shoes? Well, I can not say but I think the saying "to know where you are going, you have to know where you have been" comes into play. So if I can't tell where you've been or where you going by looking at you shoes, probably not a good impression. I say this to say, fashion is not about duplication of trendy looks, it is about wearing what you love. You don't have to try hard, just make sure your shoes pull your outfit together.

-BOOTS-- Self explanatory you do not enter into fall/winter without a great pair of boots (you pick the cut ankle-knee-thigh)

-NUDE-- Nude heels are classic but for me a must have. I love my nude heels they elongate the leg by blending in to your natural skin tone. Every women and man loves a long leg. THE END

**Feel free to sub in a fun flirty surprise when ever you feel necessary, but with a core six you will easily be able outfit yourself, and build a wardrobe around specific pieces.

THE CARGO PANT

These days men are not the only folks wearing cargos. Women are using the cargo pant as the perfect everyday badass look. A slouchy cargo looks great with anything and you can dress it up or down. For a Safari look you can opt for a beige straight leg cargo with a white blouse. Even a tighter cargo with a nice blazer gives the appeal being laid back but staying classy.  For me a casual menswear inspired look works well with a cargo pant. The biggest win with cargos are the pockets,  triple the pockets you can stash and store just about anything.

I love a great man inspired slouchy cargo. I think a boyish look works great for a typical day and looks high fashion with the addition of a fun heel. I paired my AE Cargos with a Joie tank and DollHouse Booties. Quick. COMFY. Affordable Could you ask for more? I couldn't ... Military fashionista
