TIP TIP HOORAY: SHOE ALERT

Work with ONLY 6 main shoes this season.

Yves Saint Laurent Mirror Heel $1150
Despite popular belief from unfashionable folks. Your shoes do make your look. No matter what you wear, a busted crusted tennis shoe or heel will WITH OUT A DOUBT ruin a perfectly good ensemble.

Surveys have shown that women, when asked what they look at while making a first impression. SHOES along with personality, smile and style will top the list. Why are women obsessed with shoes? Well, I can not say but I think the saying "to know where you are going, you have to know where you have been" comes into play. So if I can't tell where you've been or where you going by looking at you shoes, probably not a good impression. I say this to say, fashion is not about duplication of trendy looks, it is about wearing what you love. You don't have to try hard, just make sure your shoes pull your outfit together.

Rebecca Taylor $195
I pick 6 shoes, because adding in new shoes for events or special occasions is fine, but six main go to shoes give you wardrobe diversity but allow you to create a cohesive seasonal style. The fun in fashion comes from the addition of eye popping stand out pieces. Picking six shoes allow them to be fun, funky and original shoes that really impact even the more boring of outfits.

My six shoe-whos
-Something BOLD--I like a bold shoe (Red, Blue or neon Pink) doesn't matter has long as it is in a bold COLOR.

Casadei $880
-Something WILD-- Leopard print heels or flats go with anything and everything and add a fun touch to a simple outfit.

-Something CLASSIC-- Pick the goto anytime any place heel in a simple classic design and color. BLACK/BEIGE/BROWN heels always go.

-BOOTS-- Self explanatory you do not enter into fall/winter without a great pair of boots (you pick the cut ankle-knee-thigh)

-The BOOTIE--I love a bootie, they look good with skirts, cropped pants and dresses. Fun and Modern MUST

Manolo Blahnik $795
-NUDE-- Nude heels are classic but for me a must have. I love my nude heels they elongate the leg by blending in to your natural skin tone. Every women and man loves a long leg. THE END

**Feel free to sub in a fun flirty surprise when ever you feel necessary, but with a core six you will easily be able outfit yourself, and build a wardrobe around specific pieces.

The Fabulous Audrey Hepburn

It seems every time I see an Audrey Hepburn movie or picture, I can not help but let her be my style inspiration for the rest of the week. Many people duplicate her Breakfast at Tiffanys style, but aside from her iconic cocktail dress the movie is loaded with special looks. Today, I am feeling her casual fire escape singing look.

TREND ALERT!

TREND ALERT

10 fashion trends I die for RIGHT NOW
neon skirt with lace top
1: NEONS
You love em. I love em. Mix and Match or color block with neon classics for the perfect summer look.
2:Lingerie inspired clothes
I love exposed lingerie looks right now. Bustiers, satin pencil skirts, lace and pearls a girl cannot go wrong.
3:High wasted 80’s inspired jeans.
80's shorts with sheer top
Celebrities are popping up everywhere wearing these high wasted hot shorts. They are perfect for the summer, and bring back retro looks the 80’s couldn’t live without.
4:Boy meets Girl
Every year every season, I die for masculine female looks. I adore the half and half effect girly meets tomboy. Try boyfriend jeans and a T with great over the top jewelry, or a tuxedo shirt/button up with a pencil skirt or great skinnies and heels.
boy meets girl with bustier
5:Bead work
Embellishment and total beaded pieces. Great clutch/ jacket/ blouses I love the uniqueness of these beaded pieces.
6:Unexpected MIX n MATCH
Mixing prints belonging to the same color family on top and bottom
7: Printed skinny’s
Buy them bold or graphically printed; what ever you do just buy them.
8: Turquoise jewelry
This is my all fav. Native inspired jewelry with great stonework and creative settings
9:BOLD blazers
stella beaded clutch
Neon/ Reds and Blues. A jacket with pop that transforms a normal outfit into something major.

10:Sheer Madness
Sheer shirts are the best. They allow us to show some skin,
but in a classy way. I love fun sheer colors the brighter the better
 with lace undergarments.

Audrey Hepburn: A Style Icon

Obsessed with Audrey. The grace, style and charm she brought to the movies and clothes she wore were unserpassed by anyone in the 20th and into the 21st century. The philanthropy and love she showed to the people of the world, was just as beautiful as she.

And while I adore her "Ballet" style. I am more envious of  Audrey the women.
